If you’ve been to our home page, you’ve seen the phrase “Connecting for Community Impact” front and centre. At Pillar, we believe that connections are key to building stronger communities. When we hosted the Canadian Conference on Social Enterprise this past April, we had hoped that bringing together organizations and social enterprises from the across the country would lead to innovative collaborations.
We are excited to announce that, after connecting at the conference, long-time Pillar partner and social enterprise Coupons For Hunger has partnered with GenesisGood, a social arm of GenesisXD to expand their business and broaden their social impact.
Since 2011, London, Ontario-based couponing experts Colleen Lindemann and Tonia Richardson, founders of Coupons For Hunger, have been driving donations of over $46,000 of groceries to London Food Bank and local community networks. Their social mission has impacted over 1,000 families. Additionally, an impressive result of their educational events is reduction of visits to the London Food Bank.
GenesisXD Inc. based in Toronto, will brand Coupons For Hunger with a new identity, serving as their agent to represent them worldwide for the services of developing, negotiating, and managing various marketing and merchandising activities.
Coupons For Hunger was a finalist for the Innovation Category in 2014’s Pillar Community Innovation Awards. As a finalist they embodied the spirit of innovation within the London community that Pillar celebrates.
