The Bigger Picture, a Pillar #PolicyTalk with Imagine Canada

Curious about the state of the nonprofit and charitable sector in 2024?
Eager to deepen your relationship with local, regional,
and national networks?
Wish you could do more to advocate for your network, your organization, and your community, but aren’t sure where to start or where to find the time?

Find some answers with your colleagues at The Bigger Picture, part of Pillar Nonprofit Network 2024 #PolicyTalk Series & Imagine Canada’s 2024 Regional Conversation Series, made possible by our Presenting Sponsor, PearTree Canada.

Over a light breakfast, hear about ongoing and emergent sector trends from Imagine Canada CEO Bruce MacDonald. Then, after a light lunch from Growing Chefs! Ontario, work with sector colleagues under the guidance of Pillar Nonprofit Network and Imagine Canada staff to identify shared visions, foster greater collaboration, and build pathways to stronger networks and bigger impacts.

Through the Regional Conversations Series, Imagine Canada is creating reciprocal opportunities to deepen relationships and connectivity with local charities and nonprofits and create safe spaces for listening and exploring regional and national/federal-level issues and opportunities.

Through the #PolicyTalk Series, Pillar seeks to co-create opportunities for its members and network to identify policy priorities and build our collective advocacy muscle.

As co-hosts of The Bigger Picture, we expect to cultivate a deeper understanding of mutual goals, foster collaborative efforts, and strengthen our collective impact within the community. At the conclusion of the event, there is an opportunity to shareback trends and insights emerging from the conversations with all participants.

Who Should Attend?

The Bigger Picture is open to all, and should be of special interest to people interested in exploring issues at the organizational and system levels.

We especially encourage Executive Directors, CEOs, Board Chairs, and others interested in working in networks towards positive change, and we are driving to create the conditions for participation from BIPOC and equity-seeking groups.

The event is free to all participants, and includes a light breakfast and light lunch. Travel subsidies may be made available to reduce barriers to participation for rural organizations (minimum of 15 kms, maximum of 150 kms). Please indicate your need for support in the accommodations field during registration.
