Volunteer Opportunities
Our Community Support Services programs offer a variety of roles, including:
- - Volunteer Visiting (remote opportunity) (Time commitment of ½ hour once a week): this is a support program that matches a volunteer with a senior or adult with a disability for one-on-one visits in the client’s home or a weekly chat over the phone
- - Food Delivery Program (Time commitment of 2 hours once a month): picking up pre-packaged food and delivering to a community hub (apartment buildings)
- - Blood Pressure Clinics (Time commitment of 1 hour once a week): volunteers take blood pressure readings at weekly clinics
- - Congregate Dining (Time commitment of 2 hours once a week): Help plan, grocery shop, cook, and serve a meal to our clients
- - Cool Aid (Time commitment of 2 hours once a month): volunteers call clients every 14 weeks to ensure their information is up to date
- - Telephone Reassurance (Remote Opportunity) (Time commitment of 5-15 minutes once a day Monday-Friday): Volunteers provide a daily telephone call to a senior or adult with a disability to check in on their well being.
