The London Training Centre is currently recruiting Board Members for June 2025

Incorporated in 1987 as a non-profit, LTC is an award-winning social enterprise that provides a wide range of skill development opportunities for people facing barriers or challenges to employment, as well as those who are seeking out new career opportunities or training.
Highlights of our services include:
- Employment Services, including counselling, career exploration, workshops and job placements, fully funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.
- A full menu of certifications and training provided in partnership with regulatory organizations including the Canadian Red Cross and the Middlesex-London Health Unit.
- The Pre-Apprenticeship Culinary Program taught by our skilled chef instructors.
- Unique food education experiences through our self-funded Local Food Skills Program.

Board profile
- Operates under the Carver Policy Governance Model.
- Includes one employee, the executive director, who is responsible for operations and manages 20 staff.
- Includes 8-11 community members.
Time commitment
- Board meeting take place on the third Wednesday of every month except July and August.
- Length of term: Three years, renewable.
- All board members are invited to serve on a sub-committee related to their area of interest or expertise. Sub-committees generally meet as needed.
What we're looking for:
- Community members with an interest in social enterprise.
- Familiarity with not-for-profits, business experience, financial knowledge and HR skills are an asset
- Previous board experience would be welcomed but is not required.
