The Alice Saddy Foundation is looking to fill a volunteer board seat.
We are a non-profit organization that was established in 2021 to help support The Alice Saddy Association work towards its vision of a community that welcomes every person equally with respect and acceptance. The Association supports people who have an intellectual disability to achieve the life that they choose in their community as well as supporting community members to understand the needs of people with disabilities and their need for inclusion and belonging. The Foundation also supports the Association with financial aid for an Inclusion Grant Program that is available to persons with developmental disabilities in the London area.
As a board member you will share your skills and experience, enrich your networks, and strengthen your community leadership.
Directors on this board are responsible for: developing policy; making decisions about the organization’s future including its strategic plan; monitoring quality and financial performance; and fundraising.
The Board meets every two months with some additional committee meetings as needed.
We are looking for individuals from any background, who are compassionate and enthusiastic. We are particularly interested in individuals with an understanding of fund development.
Please send a letter of interest to Joe Saddy (Foundation Board Chair)
