Support Needed for Northern Ontario First Nations Evacuees

Urgent help is needed for several First Nations communities in northwestern Ontario who are being evacuated due to forest fires.

In alliance with Ontario Health, this response effort is being co-led by Atlohsa Family Healing Services and Southwestern Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC). One of their greatest needs is to support these evacuation efforts for the Wabaseemoong First Nations men, women and children.

These teams are working around the clock to welcome their relatives, provide a culturally safe environment and ensure access to Indigenous-led programs and services.
