Van Driver

Mission Services of London is a non-profit social service agency dedicated to serving residents of London and Middlesex County with compassion and dignity. The Mission Store, of Mission Services of London, has an opening Regular Part-Time Van Driver to support daily operations at Mission Services of London. This role involves the pickup and delivery of goods among all branches and scheduled pickup of donations from community partners and public donors. The position reports to the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver donations and goods between branches and to the store.
  • Communicate effectively with donors, store staff, and other drivers.
  • Maintain the vehicle in safe and clean working condition.
  • Provide backup support to other van drivers as needed.
  • Perform duties in alignment with MSL’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Minimum 1 year of driving experience (commercial experience an asset).
  • Secondary School Diploma.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum 1 year of public/customer service experience.
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Defensive Driving Course, CPR/First Aid, and CPI training are assets.

Position Details:

  • Regular Part-Time, 15 hours per week.
  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required for special events.
