SARI is seeking applicants to the position of Camp Director with a passion for leadership and to create a memorable summer camp experience for children of all abilities aged 6 to 18 years.
The Camp Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an inclusive day camp, ensuring safety of the campers and creation of inclusive programming for kids of all abilities.
The Camp Director will plan and implement daily camp activities for groups of 12 children, including horseback riding, games, crafts, sing-alongs, booking guest speakers and other fun camp activities.
The Camp Director will track camper registration and progress, communicate with guardians, plan transitions between activities, manage a small budget, and directly supervise and promote team cohesion among Camp Counsellors (staff) and volunteers.
Eligibility:
- Open to youth aged 15-30 (age range in alignment with funding opportunities)
- First Aid and CPR certification is required before camp program begins
- Experience working with children with special needs is required
- Experience with horses is an asset
- Police & vulnerable sector check required
