Executive Director
Due to the pending retirement of our Executive Director, Hutton House is seeking an inspiring, community minded Executive to lead a mission driven organization that empowers adults with disabilities to learn, work, and thrive. Reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic leadership across six locations in London, guiding a dedicated team of approximately 80 staff and serving as a visible ambassador for our work in the community.

For more than 70 years, Hutton House has supported adults with disabilities in building skills, confidence, and independence through strengths‑based, person‑centred programs. The Executive Director plays a pivotal role in advancing this mission—ensuring that every program, partnership, and strategic decision expands opportunities for the people we serve.
This leadership position directly influences how more than 1,000 participants each year learn, work, connect, and contribute across our diverse programs. The Executive Director champions a vision of inclusion where individuals can customize their involvement, maximize their capacity, and participate fully in community life. By fostering collaboration and stewarding organizational sustainability, this leader ensures Hutton House remains a trusted, innovative, and inclusive resource for adults with disabilities—and a vital contributor to a stronger, more connected community.

The Executive Director will:

Champion Hutton House’s mission and values while shaping the organization’s strategic direction.

Lead and support staff teams delivering a wide range of programs, including Employment Services, Adult Education, Life Skills, ARTworks, Fitness, Day Respite, Urban Agriculture, and our fully accessible Pottery Studio.

Strengthen financial sustainability through effective operational management, partnership development, and community engagement.

Build collaborative relationships with funders, community partners, and sector leaders to enhance opportunities for the people we serve.

Identify emerging needs and trends, ensuring Hutton House continues to innovate and deliver high quality, inclusive services.
Who We’re Looking For

Proven experience in not-for-profit leadership or related sectors.

Remuneration and Timing
Hutton House offers a competitive compensation package including an annual salary in the range of $80,000–$90,000 reflecting the responsibilities of this leadership role. The package includes a comprehensive benefits program and provisions that support work–life balance. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience and aligned with the organization’s commitment to equity and transparency. The required start date is August 4 2026 to facilitate participation in training and orientation.
