Childreach is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and values-driven Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter.

Childreach is a respected early years organization in London, Ontario, with a long-standing commitment to helping children, families, and professionals build strong foundations in the early years. Through responsive, evidence-informed programs and community partnerships, Childreach supports parents and caregivers, offers enriching opportunities for children, and provides valuable learning resources for early years professionals. Childreach has served the community since 1975 and is guided by a strong commitment to relationship, inclusion, collaboration, and impact.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational excellence of Childreach. This is a meaningful opportunity for a leader who can bring together strategy, people, finance, community relationships, and service excellence in support of children and families. The role, as outlined in your draft, includes responsibility for organizational performance across programs, people, finance, risk, partnerships, communications, and fund development.

About the Role
The Executive Director will work in close partnership with the Board to advance Childreach’s mission, support effective governance, and ensure the organization remains strong, sustainable, and responsive to community needs.

This role will lead across a broad portfolio, including:
• strategic planning and organizational performance
• board relations and governance support
• program and service leadership
• financial stewardship and sustainability
• fund development and donor/funder relations
• people leadership, culture, and human resources
• community partnerships and public representation
• communications, visibility, risk management, and operational oversight

What Childreach is looking for
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of executive leadership experience, sound judgment, community-mindedness, and strong operational capability. They will be someone who can lead with both heart and accountability.

Candidates should bring:
• a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• significant senior leadership experience, ideally 7–10 years or more
• experience working in a nonprofit environment and in partnership with a Board of Directors
• leadership experience in child, family, early years, education, community, or social service settings
• strong financial acumen, including budgeting, reporting, oversight, and sustainability planning
• experience leading people, building healthy workplace culture, and supporting staff performance and development
• experience with grants, fundraising, donor/funder stewardship, or revenue diversification
• strong relationship-building skills with staff, families, funders, partners, and community stakeholders
• the ability to use data, outcomes, and evaluation to support planning and accountability
• Master’s degree and/or RECE designation considered an asset
