Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the organization in alignment with its mission and priorities.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to support strategic planning and implementation.
- Identify opportunities for program growth, partnerships, and community impact
Fundraising and Advancement
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy focused on individual donors, foundations, and grant programs.
- Lead grant identification, application development, and reporting processes.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors and community supporters.
- Work with the Board to build a culture of philanthropy and engagement.
Community Partnerships and Advocacy
- Represent CCL within the Southwestern Ontario mental health and nonprofit ecosystem.
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, social service agencies, and community partners.
- Participate in community tables and sector networks to strengthen collaboration.
- Organizational Leadership and Operations
- Oversee a portion of the day-to-day operations including staff, volunteers, and vendors.
- Ensure effective program delivery and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Foster a positive, collaborative organizational culture.
Financial Oversight
- Work with the Board to oversee financial management, budgets, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen long-term financial sustainability.
Board Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization.
- Provide regular updates on organizational performance and strategic initiatives.
- Support the Board in governance, planning, and committee activities.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit, healthcare, or social service sector.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant development, or philanthropic engagement.
- Experience working with a Board of Directors and supporting governance processes.
- Strong relationship-building and community engagement skills.
- Financial literacy including budgeting and organizational oversight.
- Knowledge of London and Southwestern Ontario nonprofit or health landscape is considered an asset.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Terms of Employment
- Part-time contract position (0.4–0.6 FTE).
- Hybrid work arrangement based in London, Ontario.
- Attendance required at monthly Board meetings and key community events.
- Compensation range: $50,000 – $70,000 depending on FTE level and experience.
- Initial contract term: up to 24 months with potential for renewal based on organizational needs and funding.
