Director of Community and Family Supports

Job Summary

Due to continued growth the Alice Saddy Association is seeking a dynamic Director of Community and Family Supports to co-lead our Community Services team.

The Alice Saddy Association is a vibrant, community-based organization that provides individualized, person-directed supports to people with developmental disabilities. We envision a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive community where all people are valued and contributing citizens.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Community and Family Supports provides strategic and operational leadership for community and family supports, including individualized funded services, planning, and facilitation. This position plays a key role in shaping the organization’s future direction and ensuring high-quality, person-directed services.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, and an inspirational leader who builds strong relationships with people supported, families, employees, funders, and community partners. They bring experience in developing and implementing responsive supports and services, a proven ability to drive results and a deep understanding of program, resource, budgetary, and operational management.

They will collaborate closely with the Executive and Management Teams to uphold service excellence and foster community inclusion. As an ambassador and advocate, the Director of Community and Family Supports represents the organization in local and provincial initiatives aligned with our Mission, Vision, and Values. Maintaining confidentiality, anticipating future needs, and approaching challenges with creativity and innovation are integral to success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education required; University degree in a related discipline is preferred.
  • Personal philosophy consistent with the Alice Saddy Association’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • 5–8 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in human services or developmental services.
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, evaluation, and quality improvement.
  • Direct support experience with people with disabilities is considered a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to lead through collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking.

Compensation and Benefits

Full-time, Permanent (35 hours per week)

Starting Salary: $85,558 annually

This position is full-time, in-office, and offers competitive wages and benefits, along with opportunities for professional development and learning.
