The grant writing process is part of almost every nonprofit organization’s world.

Successful proposals can provide a substantial and meaningful funding source.

Focusing on the foundational components of a proposal, this workshop will provide participants with practical strategies for grant writing.

  • Reasons why proposals are unsuccessful
  • Essential elements of successful proposals
  • Sources of grants 
  • Overcoming grant writing challenges 
  • Identifying funder priorities

In this highly interactive workshop, participants will enhance their grant writing skills and gain new tools and resources to achieve success in their grant writing endeavors.

Participants will have the opportunity to email current proposals to Nicole at nicole@kovacsgroup.ca by June 11th, 2014. Three will be chosen as examples to review at the workshop.

About the facilitator

Nicole Kovacs, Principal Consultant of Kovacs Group Inc., is a frequent speaker on the topics of grant writing, strategic planning, evaluation and research. She also instructs the Grant Writing course at Western University.

Nicole has secured grants ranging from $1,000 to $1.5 million, for new and existing social sector initiatives from municipal, federal, private and corporate funding sources.
