About the presenters
Nicole Kovacs
Nicole Kovacs, Principal Consultant of Kovacs Group Inc., has experience addressing the complex challenges experienced by local, national and international organizations.
Nicole has a B.A. Honours in History, a post-graduate degree in Training and Organizational Development and a Master’s degree in Business. Nicole is skilled in facilitating robust, comprehensive research and then translating the data into actionable recommendations that serve to enhance communities. Nicole strives to develop evidence-informed strategies and solutions that create lasting social impact. With extensive experience managing multi-method evaluation projects, Nicole is known for her ability to distill complex evaluation frameworks into practical, easy-to-implement strategies.
Laura MacDiarmid
Laura MacDiarmid is Senior Consultant at Kovacs Group Inc. After working in the youth justice sector, Laura transitioned her career focus to research and evaluation in the non-profit sector, to continue her pursuit for social impact. Laura has experience working on both large and small scale projects with a focus on evaluation in the areas of developmental evaluation, process evaluation and impact evaluation. Laura also has knowledge and experience with a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and data management tools.
Laura’s educational background is in restorative justice and youth justice. She obtained her Honor’s BA with a specialization in Sociology and a major in Criminology from Western University and her Master’s in Criminology from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology
