The festival features a number of events that promote cycling including: visits to community special events, cycling workshops, guided bike tours, film screenings and more. This celebration of cycling encourages citizens of all ages to take up bike riding more frequently this summer.
We encourage schools to register with Bike to School Week at http://bikemonth.ca/biketoschool. We are especially pleased to relaunch local promotion of the National Commuter Challenge to community and workplaces. Sign up at https://commuterchallenge.ca/register-as-an-individual/. This week-long workplace challenge from June 3-9 encourages Canadians to leave their cars at home and submit their distances travelled using active transportation such as walking and biking.
