One of the four BPW Canada cornerstones is Advocate. You can check out the other three HERE.
During the year, BPW clubs across Canada work on issues they feel are important to women in Canada to prepare resolutions, that if approved by the membership, are put into a brief that is presented to the Prime Minister and Members of Parliament named in the brief. Every BPW member is encouraged to present the brief to their local Member of Parliament and organizations that they feel are working on the same issues.
In Ontario, BPW members are fortunate to also work on provincial issues that affect women and present a brief to the Ontario government from resolutions that are approved. BPW London completed three resolutions and a commendation for this year’s set of BPW Ontario resolutions, commendations and by-law amendments. April is the month where all provincial BPW members review every resolution, commendation and any by-law amendments submitted by clubs in Ontario.
BPW London members will have already received or will shortly receive the BPW Ontario Resolutions Review Package in their email boxes as of the date of this invitation. Guests who register for our event will be forwarded this package upon registration. We suggest you take a quick look at the information so you are ready with questions and suggestions.
